HPKY Hand Painted Knitting Yarns Donegal Sock yarns are available in 40 colorways; 20 Rich and 20 Pastel. The colorways are named after Operas, just in case you are wondering. Knitters love the colorful flecks made from viscose fibers that are spun into this merino superwash wool sock yarn. Besides being a great sock yarn it can also be used in knitting and crocheting other wonderful garments for men, women, children and home decor items.

HPKY Donegal Sock yarn is a blend of 65% superwash merino, 25% nylon and 10% Donegal. It is fingering weight and comes in 3.5 oz (100 gram) skeins of 463 yards which is perfect for most sock patterns. Approximate gauge is 7-8 stitches per inch on US# 1-3 needle. Finished garments can be safely machine washed and dried on a gentle cycle.
